Expanding Access to Logistics for Hispanic Workforce

Global Logistics Associate Curriculum for TDL

The American Society of Transportation & Logistics (now APICS) translated key curriculum and training products to Spanish in order to engage and train the sector’s largest potential pipeline of new employees. The Global Logistics Associate (GLA) curriculum for Transportation, Distribution and Logistics (TDL), helps working‐learners develop the necessary knowledge and skills toward viable career pathways in supply chain professions, which represent an estimated 270,000 new jobs in the material handling, logistics and supply chain industry annually through 2018. The project also included developing additional training resources for learning providers to deliver the GLA curriculum to Hispanic working learners and emphasizing common employability skills like critical thinking, problem solving, math and technology skills.
