CompTIA’s Creating IT Futures Foundation engaged in research to refine and further develop the IT Competency Model to include Common IT Employability Skills across technology-centric industry sectors. The “Common IT Employability Skills” include entry, intermediate and advanced level IT skills, with a focus on the advanced level skills that cut across many high-growth industry sectors like Finance, Energy, Insurance, Healthcare and Advanced Manufacturing. The Common IT Employability Skills Framework builds on the Common Employability Skills, focusing on the next level of in-demand skills needed across technology-driven industries.
